Customer Services - Telephone Betting

Telebet will provide betting services during typhoon period.

Racing odds enquiry for WIN, PLA, QIN and QPL is available for overseas customers when placing bets.

Betting procedures

Please provide the following information to our Telebet Services Assistant in sequence:

Horse Betting:

1. Telebet account number and security code
2. Bet type (e.g. Win, Place, etc.)
3. Formula (e.g. single, multiple, all up 2x3, etc.)
4. Race number
5. Horse number(s)
6. Unit investment amount (e.g. $100 per bet)

Football Betting:

1. Telebet account number and security code
2. Bet type (e.g. Home / Away / Draw)
3. Match (e.g. Liverpool Vs Manchester City)
4. Match results (e.g. Manchester City Win)
5. Unit investment amount (e.g. $100 per bet)

Bet echo

• All bets, and key information like fixed odds in football betting, are echoed by the Telebet Service Assistant and confirmed by you before transmission
  
  
• The bet transmitted and processed by the computer system will become a valid bet.
  
  

Horse Betting:

From 30 minutes before Race 1 up to the last race starts, the minimum bet requirement applies as follows:

• The minimum bet amount is $20 until 10 minutes before the start of each race
• The minimum bet amount is $50 during the last 10 minutes of each race
• There is no minimum bet requirement during other business hours.

Football Betting:

• The minimum bet amount: $50
• The maximum bet amount: $50,000

The maximum bet amount per Telebet account on each betting day : $500,000

• Special registration
• Reinvestment of all-up dividends

Dividends of Football Betting:

• Maximum dividend per bet: $1,000,000
• Maximum dividend per Telebet account on each betting day: $5,000,000

  • By establishing a guarantee facility and an autopay arrangement with your bank, funds are provided in your Telebet account for every race meeting

• All withdrawals from your Telebet account will be transferred to your nominated bank accounts in the following ways:

Telebet account holder could place bets via IDD service by dialling 852 before the Telebet phone number. (IDD charge is required)

In major cities in the mainland China, you could enjoy our toll free service* to place bets by using fixed-line telephone. (IDD charge is waived, the total investment per football bet should be $200 or above during the racing period) The Toll Free Service in China is divided into two geographical areas -- 'North China' and 'South China'.

South China – refers to 22 provinces and municipalities, including Anhui, Chongqing, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong (including Shenzhen), Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Shanghai, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Xizang, Yunnan and Zhejiang.

North China - refers to 10 provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Jilin, Liaoning, Neimonggol, Shanxi, Shandong and Tianjin.

* Toll free service may not be available for mobile phone or at hotel's in-house telephone system.
   When placing bets overseas, Telebet customers are advised to ensure compliance to the laws of their respective location.

How to apply

• Fill in the application form
• Present your HKID, or other valid and photo bearing identity card, passport or travel document
• Provide a mailing address
• Provide a personal bank account in Hong Kong
• Submit the completed form in person to:
• OCB
• Racecourses

OR (for HKID holders ONLY)

Send the completed form together with HKID card photocopy by post to any of the OCBs.
