Community Services

The Club appreciates the vital importance of community services and participates actively in providing timely, multifaceted support for evolving social needs.

Among recent projects proactively initiated by the Club are CADENZA, which aims to pioneer new approaches to care for the elderly in the face of a rapidly ageing population; P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood, which helps Hong Kong's adolescents develop positive beliefs and a sense of responsibility; and a new project aimed at promoting family harmony and Chinese family values.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Prevention and Research, established in partnership with the University of Hong Kong, aims to develop more effective suicide prevention measures and transfer skills and knowledge to frontline professionals. The Jockey Club Harmony Link, operated by Harmony House, is designed to tackle the issue of domestic violence and provide assistance to its victims.

The Jockey Club Arts for the Disabled Scheme is a five-year programme initiated in 2003 to help disabled people fulfil their potential through artistic training and development. Over 15,000 disabled people have since benefited.
