Taxi
Travelling by taxi is another way of reaching Sha Tin Racecourse. Green taxis operate from the New Territories, but please note that they are only allowed to stop at the Public Entrance. Bus and Minibus
Buses and minibuses service the racecourse from many different areas.

Minibuses travel to and from the New Territories (Tsuen Wan, Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long) and Kowloon (Mongkok, Jordan, Tze Wan Shan, Kwun Tong, To Kwa Wan). Fares range from HK$18.50 to HK$30.

From Kowloon/ Hong Kong - use route 1
From Kowloon East / Hong Kong East - use route 2
From Kowloon West - use route 2 & 8

MTR
The closest MTR station to Happy Valley Racecourse is the Causeway Bay Station, Exit A.

Taxi
Being centrally located in the middle of Hong Kong Island, Happy Valley racecourse is easily and relatively inexpensively reached by taxi. Click for distances and estimated fares to and from major hotels.

Tram
Should you be anywhere on the north side of Hong Kong Island, simply hop on a tram marked "Happy Valley" and enjoy a scenic ride to the racecourse. Trams are not usually the fastest mode of transport, but at HK$2 they are the cheapest!
