A new era for Hong Kong's sporting entertainment industry began with the Clubˇ¦s launch of regulated football betting services on 1 August 2003. HKJC Football Betting Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Club, was appointed the sole authorised operator of football betting in Hong Kong to help the Hong Kong Government combat illegal gambling.
Adults may bet on matches featuring popular clubs or leagues in Europe, South America and Japan as well as important cup fixtures and major international tournaments such as the Champions League, UEFA Cup and the World Cup.
The Club's football betting services are available through most of the same channels as horse race betting, including Off-Course Betting Branches, Telebet and interactive services.
New bet types are being gradually introduced to meet customer demand and combat illegal betting. A dedicated website and football corners at all Off-Course Betting branches provide match information and betting services to customers.
