Special cuisine to savour at International Races Week

Racegoers attending the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races Week meetings on Wednesday 10 December and Sunday 14 December will witness the cream of the international horse racing industry contesting the coveted titles.  To reflect the international theme, The Hong Kong Jockey Club will present a range of international cuisine at the trackside food counters to delight the palates of racegoers.  On Wednesday, the culinary treats will be on offer at the Trackside Food Kiosk at the Happy Valley Racecourse, while on Sunday at Mezza One, the food plaza at Sha Tin Racecourse. A special selection of beers from the US, Italy, Germany and the Philippines will also be available for racegoers to savour at the LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship meeting on Wednesday.

These special menus have been designed by the Club’s Executive Sous Chef (Trackside Catering) Winnie Wong, who explains that the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races Week is a flagship event that draws a huge crowd at the racecourses.  "Many overseas guests are flying in to join the great day as well," she says.   "The catering team and I have prepared a range of special international cuisine for racegoers, which I truly hope will complement the world-class racing and give fans a unique dining experience. All the dishes are being prepared with their traditional ingredients and seasonings, and my team has consulted native chefs from each of the countries to ensure we can offer authentic renditions.'

These special food items are available while stocks last.
