1. Renovation - Happy Valley and Sha Tin turf track
The corer and verti-drain were used on the Happy Valley turf track and the Sha Tin turf track according to the following schedules:
Happy Valley
6 - 20 Oct 2016 A to C Course (Worked Back Position)
27 Oct 2016 C+3 Course (Worked Back Position) and the remaining area
Sha Tin
24 - 25 October 2016 for the full width of the turf track
On completion of the works, both tracks were lightly rolled as per previous practice.
2. Ripping of large all weather track
The large all weather track was ripped today to a depth of 5 1/2" to relieve surface hardness and to achieve thorough mixing of 280 cubic metre of bark chip applied on 25 and 26 October 2016. The track will be expected to ride similar to the meeting on 23 October 2016, weather permitting.
