Additional Veterinary Reports from 8 January 2017 Race Meeting

Race 3 – BAD BOY

BAD BOY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.  BAD BOY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Moore this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg with minor wounds and associated swelling.  As previously advised, BAD BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

Race 6 – TOP SCORE

TOP SCORE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.  TOP SCORE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P O’Sullivan this morning.  He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, TOP SCORE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Race 10 – TONYBOY

The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that TONYBOY had a sore left eye on the morning after racing.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
