The Stewards have today been advised that Apprentice Jockey M F Poon, who was stood down from riding during the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 26 March 2017 when injured whilst endeavouring to mount GENERAL IRON prior to Race 7, will tomorrow undergo further tests and be medically re-assessed. Consequently, Apprentice Poon will remain stood down and will not be eligible to accept riding engagements for the Sha Tin race meeting conducted on Sunday, 2 April 2017.
A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Apprentice Poon’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
