The Stewards have today spoken to Mr K W Lui, the trainer of AMAZING, regarding that horse missing track work between 23 May 2017 and 28 May 2017.
Mr Lui explained that on 23 May 2017 the horse experienced a minor skin infection of its right hind leg with an associated mild fever. He said because of this he was advised by his clinical veterinarian not to work the horse to allow it to fully recover from this minor issue. He said he had galloped AMAZING twice since it resumed track work on 29 May 2017 and that this work had pleased him and accordingly he believes it will perform well in tomorrow night’s race.
