RAINBOW AND GOLD (HK)
Trainer, Brian Kan: I'm happy that he's okay now after a problem."
HELENE VITALITY (HK)
David Hayes, trainer: "We gave him a blistering gallop this morning
- short and sharp to give him something to think about and he has come
out of it well. He has been trained with this race in mind and I'm hoping
that the ground remains firm for him."
DALIAPOUR (UK)
Trainer Sir Michael Stoute was on hand for the first time to watch last
year's Vase winner work over 1400 metres on the grass. The son of Sadlers
Wells, now a seasoned campaigner, looked as good as ever as he quickened
up the straight. "He's a year older and the race looks stronger than
last year," says Stoute "but he ran well in Canada in his comeback
race last time and we'll try to do the same again. I hope he'll get in
the first three."
