Stipendiary Steward Jamie Stier will be away from Hong Kong for the Sha Tin meeting on Wednesday 26 December 2001.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club usually has 7 voting people on the Racing Stewards Panel. In the absence of Mr Stier, permission has been given for Mr Eugene Kwok to be a Stipendiary Steward with voting powers for the Sha Tin meeting on Wednesday.

Gear Change for Sha Tin Race Meeting, 26 December 2001
Because of a misunderstanding, it was not announced early that permission has been given for HENNESSY STAR to race in future in a shadow roll. The horse will wear this gear on Wednesday at Sha Tin.

Sunday 23 December 2001 Race Meeting
The Veterinary Surgeon has advised that when he examined CYBER WISDOM at the stables today, he noted the horse had a swollen near side eye.

The Veterinary Surgeon has also advised that on examining AMERICAN CHAMPION at the stables today, the horse was sore in both quarters. Before being allowed to race again, AMERICAN CHAMPION will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.

After running at Happy Valley yesterday, it was noted ELECTRONIC SEEKER had sustained a superficial wound to the area of its off side hind fetlock joint.
