The monthly Sha Tin grass Official Barrier Trials for January 2002 have been re-scheduled to Tuesday 8 January 2002, as Tuesday 1 January 2002 is a public holiday as well as a race day.

Entries will be called on Monday 7 January 2002 by 9:30 a.m. Trials will be run over 1000M and 1600M, and there will be no All Weather trials on Tuesday 8 January 2002.

The monthly Griffins grass trials will be held as scheduled on Tuesday 15 January 2002.
