Cape Of Good Hope to contest Lightning Stakes and Timbercorp Australia Stakes

Cape Of Good Hope, trained by David Oughton, will leave for Australia to contest the Lightning Stakes (G1-1000m) at Flemington on Saturday 4 February and the Timbercorp Australia Stakes (G1-1200m) at Mooney Valley on Saturday 18 February.

The two races are the first two legs of the Global Sprint Challenge, in which Cape Of Good Hope was crowned champion last year. The seven-legged series also includes the King's Stand Stakes (G2-1000m) and Golden Jubilee Stakes (G1-1200m) in the UK; the Centaur Stakes (Japan G2-1200m) and Sprinters Stakes (G1-1200m) in Japan and the newly added Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint (G1-1000m) in Hong Kong.

Cape Of Good Hope will fly to Australia at 11:55p.m. on Monday 16 January on Flight No. CX033 and will return to Hong Kong on Monday 20 February.
