28 April 2008

The GOME Race Day, featuring the inaugural GOME Sprint, will be held on the Labour Day holiday on 1 May at Sha Tin Racecourse.  Race goers will have a chance to win a 37" LCD-TV by entering the "guess the winning horse" game.

Sponsored by GOME Electrical Appliance Holdings Ltd, race goers coming to the Sha Tin Racecourse (must be aged 18 or above) will receive a gift pack comprising of a GOME Membership Card, four pieces of HK$100 GOME cash voucher* and a "GOME Sprint Champion Horse Challenge" lucky draw entry form upon admission (available while stock lasts).  The grand prize for the lucky draw will be a 37"HITACHI LCD-TV worth HK$20,000.

GOME will also set up exhibition booths to display latest models of electrical appliances on 1/F of the Member Enclosure.

The GOME Cup was first held last year.  Whatabob, trained by John Moore and ridden by Eric Saint-Martin prevailed in the race. The 2008 edition, the GOME Sprint, will see the event elevated to Group 2 status for 1200 meters.  All eyes will be on the reigning Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint champion Sacred Kingdom on 1 May so don't miss it!

* Terms and conditions of the GOME Membership Card and the GOME cash voucher are subject to the rules as stipulated by GOME Electrical Appliance Holdings Limited.
