23 September 1977; Prebble is a former champion apprentice and twice champion jockey in Melbourne. His HK breakthrough came aboard Precision in the HK Champions & Chater Cup in 2003 and in 2005 he added the Australia Stakes on Cape Of Good Hope. He has been second in Hong Kong jockeys!| ranks for the last four years. In 2005/06 he won the Champions Mile and Yasuda Kinen on Bullish Luck and in 2006/07 he added the CXHK Sprint on Absolute Champion and the MBHK Derby on Vital King. Having won the G1 Golden Slipper back home in Australia on Crystal Lily, he scored a G1 treble on board Sacred Kingdom in CXHK Sprint, Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup, and Chairman!|s Sprint Prize in 2009/10. His battle with Douglas Whyte for the 2009/10 Jockeys!| Championship, in which he eventually went down by 100-99, was one of the most thrilling in racing history. Prebble!|s consolation for defeat being his six winning rides at Happy Valley on 20 June, itself a Hong Kong record. By the end of 2009/10 season, he has accumulated 447 victories in Hong Kong.
