COMMENTS AND PROSPECT:

XIANG HUANG QI is sired by KYLLARCHY, a six-time (6) winner exclusively at 1000-metres, including a Group I event. As a stallion, KYLLARCHY has established a remarkable sprinting progeny, led by Kingˇ¦s Stand Stakes (ENG-GI) victor SOLE POWER, and 2012 Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-GIA) winner KRYPTON FACTOR. In Hong Kong, same-sired runners DIM SUM and FINAL ANSWER are equally impressive in the sprint division, with particular talent at Happy Valley.

In distance, though by the speed-dominant KYLLACHY, XIANG HUANG QI, out of a NAYEF mare, the broodmare sire of which out-stayed Hong Kongˇ¦s HELENE VITALITY to reign supreme in the 2002 running of the Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-GIT), is augmented of some good stamina from underneath, and should stretch out to a mile going forward.

In course preference, with implicit versatility possessed in a typical KYLLARCHY, XIANG HUANG QI, a maternal descendant of GULCH, should also be conductive on dirt.

In overall prospect, hailing from a maternal strain that has been producing better fillies than colts or geldings, XIANG HUANG QI has yet to impress through his barrier trials in Hong Kong; therefore, his prospect is just initially positive.
