THE HAPPY VALLEY TROPHY (Group 3 - 1200M)
The
Happy Valley Trophy, first run on 10 November 1993, was originally
programmed as the first leg of the Champion Sprint Series, a series
of races organised to encourage Owners to import more higher quality
sprinters.
Starting from 1998, the format of the Champion Sprint series has
been changed and the Happy Valley Trophy, no longer part of the
Series, is one of the lead-up races to the Hong Kong Sprint of
the Hong Kong International races.
