4. Entries

All horses entered for the Class 3 or above races at Happy Valley will automatically participate in the Competition. In case of excessive entries, the usual balloting procedures will apply.

However, in the final three Happy Valley meetings in December 2003, priority to run will be given to the 10 leading contenders at the time of entry among horses of equal status.

For example, if two horses are both their Trainer's 1st preference, the one in the list of the 10 leading contenders will have priority to run over the one which is not.

The list of the 10 leading contenders will be published after each Happy Valley meeting.

Note: In the event of disputes, the decisions of the Stewards of the Hong Kong Jockey Club shall be final.
