The
Hong Kong International Sale (HKIS) is a thoroughbred horse auction
organised by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Young horses purchased from
top yearling sales around the world are sold at the HKIS as a two-
or three-year-old.
Only Hong Kong Jockey
Club Members with valid horse import permits may retain their purchase
to race in Hong Kong.
This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this exclusive sale, which will be held for the first time at the new Parade Ring at Sha Tin Racecourse, the only parade ring in the world with a retractable roof.
The HKIS is truly unique event - Not only is it the only auction
of its kind in Hong Kong, where this year 22 or so specially selected
thoroughbreds will be sold to the highest bidders, it is also the
final event in the lead-up to the world famous Cathay
Pacific Hong Kong International Races. |
