NOTICES TO PURCHASERS

 PURCHASER REGISTRATION

Please be advised that in order to be eligible to bid on a horse, it is necessary to complete a Purchaser Registration Form and return it to the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) by no later than 5.00 pm on Monday, 6 December 2004.

 IMPORTANT NOTES

PLEASE READ THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRIOR TO BIDDING, AND NOTE, IN PARTICULAR, THE FOLLOWING:

1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PURCHASE

After making a successful bid on a Lot, you will be required to complete and sign an Acknowledgement of Purchase Form after the fall of hammer and then to report to the Registration Desk in the Sale venue, within half an hour of the last Lot being sold. Please read and confirm that the Lot number and price shown on the Acknowledgement of Purchase Form are correct before signing. Please print your name and HKJC Membership number or address and telephone number clearly, since this document will be used for the purposes of transferring ownership, invoicing and publishing results.

2. AGENT AUTHORISATION

All prospective purchasers who wish to buy through an Agent must complete an Agent Authorisation Form and return it to the HKJC no later than 5.00 pm on Monday, 6 December 2004. An Agent may not bid until written acceptance of this Authorisation has been received by the HKJC. To obtain an Agent Authorisation Form, please contact the International Sale Office.

4. CATALOGUING

a. Horses in the pedigrees in LARGE BLACK TYPE are stakes race winners.
b. Horses in the pedigrees in Small Black Type are placegetters in stakes races (to third place only).
Stakes-placed winners are also in Small Black Type.
c. Stakes races including Group / Graded races, shown as Gr.1, Gr.2, Gr.3 or L are published in accordance with The International Cataloguing Standards Committee's guidelines.
d. Horses in the pedigrees in LARGE TYPE are winners.

5. HORSE IMPORT PERMITS

a. In order to be eligible to retain a purchase from this Sale to race in Hong Kong, a bidder must be:
  (i) A holder of a valid 2004/2005 or 2005/2006 Import Permit (for PP or PPG),
    or
  (ii) Listed on the Reserve and Tender / Auction List (for PP or PPG), as published on 11 June 2004, or
  (iii) A holder of a valid Replacement Permit excluding those who must import a PP with an international rating of 95 or above.
b. A purchaser not qualified in any of the three categories listed above will not be eligible to retain their purchase to race in Hong Kong, and must arrange to export the purchase immediately.

6. INSPECTION AND VIEWING TIMES

Lots may be viewed at a distance while exercising at Sha Tin Racecourse.

Lots may be inspected at the Temporary Stables Block at Sha Tin Racecourse at the following times, subject to confirmation of quarantine release:

8.30 am - 10.30 am
3.00 pm - 5.00 pm

7. INSURANCE

The HKJC has effected insurance cover for each Lot for its yearling purchase price (i.e. not its Hong Kong International Sale price) only until midnight on 11 December 2004, after which this becomes the sole responsibility of respective purchasers. Prospective Purchasers are recommended to make arrangements before the Sale to insure a purchase immediately after the Sale in the event they purchase a Lot.

Purchasers are advised to contact the HKJC's Department of Veterinary Clinical Services for
