To commemorate National Day, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has launched a limited edition souvenir cover since 1997.

To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China, for the very first time, the Penfold Park will become the venue for a National Day Carnival. Hence Penfold Park is featured as the background of the Souvenir Cover. The Cover is affixed with a Heartwarming Stamp in two designs, which are "Love & Care" and "Celebration". Special tab next to the stamps also depicts the Penfold Park.

Moreover, personalized stamps mini-pane and two National Day Souvenir Cover with "Celebration" &"Love & Care" Collection Set will be first time to go on sale.
Souvenir Cover design
Depicted in the background of the cover picture is Penfold Park. The landscaped bird sanctuary and parkland at the centre of Sha Tin Racecourse has provided entertainment to millions of visitors for 26 years. The foreground shows Hong Kong's champion horse Silent Witness creating local racing history as he burst through the line to score his 11th straight success in the 2004 Chairman's Sprint Prize ˇV a feat that symbolises Hong Kong people's courageous spirit of constantly striving forward.
The National Day Souvenir Cover will go on sale at the Sha Tin Racecourse on October 3, 2004. Each souvenir cover sells for HK$20 and mini-pane and two National Day Souvenir Cover Set sells for HK $90.
