Hong
Kong International Races Day
The
Hong Kong International Day will take place on Sunday, 16 December
at the beautiful Sha Tin Racecourse. The significant increases
in prize-money to the four Hong Kong International Races continues
to attract the best horses and horsemen from around the world.
This year's renewal of the HKIR carries a total of purse of HK$54
million (US$6,900,000) and will feature four internationally-acclaimed
Group events, including 3 Group 1's, namely Hong
Kong Cup, Hong Kong
Mile and Hong Kong
Vase, and the last major sprint of the year, i.e. the Hong
Kong Sprint which has been elevated to Group 2 status.
During the HKIR festival week, there is a series of events leading
up to the big day including International
Jockeys Championship, Piaget
Hong Kong International Sales, Breeze-Up,
Trackside breakfast with
the stars, web
game and the ever-popular 'Who
wants to be a Millionaire?' TV game show.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club's promise to bring the World's Best
in racing entertainment to Hong Kong is about to be realized and
beyond.
