Ever got any troubles in finding good restaurant on a horse-racing night?
It seems the race-goers in 1890s did not have this trouble at all as there were plenty of food stalls around serving convenient and delicious Chinese cuisine. Taking a break from the racing excitement and treating their hungry souls, they might find that the results of their betting no longer mattered. Note how women and children were enjoying themselves at the stalls.
