Exceptional Factors
This report highlights certain important facts about the runners in a race. Standbys are excluded. The information up-dates are shown under the following headings:
       
  1. Trainer: when a trainer enters more than one horses in a race his name is shown alongside that of the horses.
 

2. Out of the Handicap: A horse is considered to be ˇ§Out of the Handicapˇ¨ if its allocated weight has been raised to the minimum permitted weight for the race at the time of declaration, due to its originally allocated weight (plus any penalty, if the horse won a race after the publication of the weights) being below the minimum permitted weight for the race. The Out of the Handicap figure takes into account any WFA allowance, if applicable.

 
  3. Weight For Age (WFA): 2-year-olds will receive a 5lb weight-for-age allowance in all handicaps, where applicable.
     
  4.

Rating: this shows changes in the rating of a horse calculated from the beginning of the current season. Only changes of greater than +/-15 will be indicated.

 

  5. Distance: when a horse is entered in a race where the distance exceeds by 300 metres that of his last start, the increase / decrease will be indicated.
  6. Last run: this shows the date when a horse last ran in a race. Only horses that have not run for more than 2 months will be shown.
     
  7. New Trainer: this indicates that a horse is having its first start after a stable change.
