Owing to the approach of Typhoon Kalmaegi with wind intensifying overnight, the movable rail will be removed in sections along the inside of the turf track to protect the racing surface for the coming Wednesday race meeting as a standard cyclone preventive measure. As a result, the turf track will not be available on Tuesday 16 September 2014 for turf trial purposes. All Weather Tracks remain unaffected at this time.
As such, alternate turf barrier trials will be arranged at 8:00am on Friday 19 September 2014 and priority will be given to horses with higher ratings as previously advised.
