Souvenir Envelope Set on sale at National Day Meeting tomorrow

A series of special merchandise, including a National Day Souvenir Envelope Set will be on sale at the National Day Meeting tomorrow (1 October) at the National Day Race Meeting to be held at Sha Tin Racecourse. Visitors to Hong Kong will be offered free admission.

The Club has invited celebrated cross-media artist Simon Ma to create paintings and souvenir designs based on his “Ren Ma” concept.   The Club will also launch a series of special merchandise, including a National Day Souvenir Envelope Set (HK$140) (Photo 1) that features two of Hong Kong's "hero horses", Designs On Rome and Lucky Nine, Deluxe Stamp Box Set (HK$730) (Photo 2), Teapot Set (HK$880 - in limited edition of 300 sets) and Porcelain Pen Set (HK$100).  All these superb souvenirs will be on sale tomorrow, while stocks last, from designated themed sales counters at Sha Tin Racecourse.

At 12:00 noon, renowned Mainland soprano Jingjing Li will lead the singing of the National Anthem at the Parade Ring (Photo 3).  Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR, Hu Jianzhong, will officiate at the opening ceremony. 

Visitors to Hong Kong will be offered free admission to Sha Tin Racecourse for both the National Day Raceday and the following Sunday's meeting (5 October) on entering the Public Enclosure via tourist entrances by showing their valid travel documents.

Tomorrow's feature race, the 1,000m National Day Cup, a local Group 3 event, has been scheduled as Race 7 and will start at 4:00pm.  Deputy Director of the Central People's Government Liaison Office in the HKSAR, Yang Jian, will officiate at the presentation ceremony.
