Freelance Jockey Eddy W M Lai, who was dislodged from DIAMOND ANGEL in Race 3 at the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 26 October 2014, has advised that despite being cleared of any significant injuries when examined at hospital following his fall, he has subsequently developed general soreness and swelling to his left shoulder. He has further advised that as a consequence he has decided to forgo his intended riding engagements at the Happy Valley race meeting on Wednesday, 29 October 2014. A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Jockey Lai’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
