Simulcast and betting arrangements for the Melbourne Cup Day - Updated

HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast six races of the Melbourne Cup Day from Australia on Tuesday, 4 November.  Bets will be accepted* on these races.

Race times and betting pools
The first simulcast race of the Melbourne Cup Day races will start at 10:15 am on Tuesday. These overseas races will be scheduled as Simulcast Race 1 (S1-1) to Race 6 (S1-6). Details of the post times and betting pools are:

  • All Up as well as Cross Pool All Up betting is available between S1-1 and S1-6, but cannot be mixed with those on the local races
  • Rebate not applicable to any bets for overseas races
  • If there is no winner for the Double Trio, the jackpot generated will be carried forward to the Double Trio pool of Emirates Stakes Day on 8 November

 

Broadcast arrangements
The overseas races will be broadcast on TV and radio, as well as at Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs).  Customers can review the overseas races at www.hkjcracing.com one hour after the running of each race.

'S1' must be indicated for overseas race bets
Customers betting with cash or through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the S1 box (Photo 1) and race number of the overseas race on the ticket or the interfaces of Interactive Services as appropriate. Those who place bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input 'overseas meeting' and the race number respectively.

If S1 or overseas races are not indicated, they will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

Odds and starter information for overseas races
The odds and starter information for the overseas races will be available at all OCBBs, Interactive Services, and the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.
