The Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Raceday this Sunday (9 November) will bring glitz and glamour in abundance to Sha Tin Racecourse. Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse image girl Gao Yuan-yuan will make special appearances at the racecourse to meet and greet fans, while top models and actresses will grace the catwalk for a World Haute Inspiration Fashion Show in the Parade Ring. Racegoers – especially the ladies – can be sure of enjoying a wide variety of on-course activities.
Free door gift on arrival
Each racegoer will receive a Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day Brooch, along with a Sa Sa cash coupon, on admission to Sha Tin Racecourse before the start of Race 5, or while stocks last.
World Haute Inspiration Fashion Show
Popular actresses Leanne Li and Bernice Liu will join top models Cara G., Carrie Chiu, Jocelyn Luko and Mikki Yao on the catwalk of the World Haute Inspiration Fashion Show in the Parade Ring after Race 4. They will present the Hong Kong Inspired Collection of renowned British milliner Victoria Grant in collaboration with local young fashion designer Kev Yiu.
Feature race of the day
The highly anticipated Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse, a Hong Kong Group 3 race over 1800m with total prize money of HK$2.75 million, is scheduled to be run as Race 7, starting at 4:00 pm. Miss Elaine Leung, daughter of HKJC Steward Mrs Margaret Leung, will officiate at the trophy presentation ceremony. Sa Sa International Holdings Chairman and CEO Dr Simon Kwok Siu Ming, along with the company's Vice-Chairman Dr Eleanor Kwok and image girl Gao Yuan-yuan, will present commemorative trophies to the winning connections.
Array of on-course activities befitting beauty theme
- A stylish new range of themed merchandise carrying sketches by fashion illustrator Mickco will be available at the Sha Tin Racecourse Concourse Sales counter, while stocks last.
- Selfie studio, Snap.hk, will offer a full set of props with which racegoers can fulfil their selfie desires.
- Racegoers who share their Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day photos taken at the racecourse on Instagram and Facebook, with #SaSaLPD by 2:30 pm, will have the chance to win a stunning HTC One (M8) mobile phone.
- At the Sa Sa Make-up Workshop on the Concourse, racegoers can enjoy a professional make-up service for only HK$50 and receive a HK$50 Cyber Colors coupon (can be used when making a purchase of Cyber Colors products with net value over HK$150).
