The Stewards have acceded to a request from Jockey O Doleuze that he be permitted to forgo the ride on KERKENI in Race 8 at tomorrow evening’s Happy Valley racemeeting so that he can depart Hong Kong in order to attend a specialist appointment in Switzerland later this week.
O Doleuze advised that he will attend the specialist medical clinic to have a thorough assessment performed on his right shoulder which was injured in a fall late last season and which continues to trouble him on occasions. As a consequence of attending this appointment, he will not accept race riding engagements for the Sha Tin racemeeting on Saturday, 15 November 2014 and the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 19 November 2014.
A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to O Doleuze’s availability to accept race riding engagements beyond 19 November 2014.
The Stewards have approved for Jockey D Whyte to be substituted as the rider of KERKENI.
