LONGINES Hong Kong International Races - 14 December 2014

Instruction 5(2)(i) of the Club’s Rules of Racing provides that any horse from overseas and invited to compete in an international race conducted by the Club may, with the permission of the Stewards, wear any item of approved gear in the saddling area, the parade ring and on the way to the start (but not in a race) on condition that such tack/gear has previously been approved to be worn by a Recognised Racing Authority.

Accordingly, the Stewards have received confirmation from the Japan Racing Association that the following overseas horses due to compete at the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 14 December 2014 will wear a Hood in the parade ring but not during the race:-

SNOW DRAGON (Race 5, The LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint)
STRAIGHT GIRL (Race 5, The LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint)
LITTLE GERDA (Race 5, The LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint)

Further, the Stewards have received confirmation from the Japan Racing Association that the following overseas horses will wear a Hood in the parade ring and on the way to the start but not during the race:-

CURREN MIROTIC (Race 4, The LONGINES Hong Kong Vase)
GRAND PRIX BOSS (Race 7, The LONGINES Hong Kong Mile)
WORLD ACE (Race 7, The LONGINES Hong Kong Mile)
