Rev up for grand finale of Valley music festival this Wednesday

19/01/2015

Happy Valley Racecourse will celebrate the grand finale of a musical journey through the generations this Wednesday (21 January) at the third week of the Music Hits The Valley parties, themed around the music from the present day.  This time Happy Wednesday fans will be treated to the full vibe of a music festival, complete with gigs from top DJ Samir from France, lookalikes of legends such as Lady Gaga, and the chance to take home fabulous prizes.

Fans who dress up and join a Flashdance game gain the chance of winning the grand prize, a Beo Play A9 Rosemailing Speaker (worth $21,000) courtesy of Bang & Olufsen.

A bite of the retro food items on offer will make the journey through musical history complete. The classic Chicken Kiev (deep fried chicken breasts stuffed with garlic herbed butter) is amongst the special treats available at trackside catering outlets. The food items are priced from HK$45.

In 2015, Happy Wednesday is teaming up with local label teelocker to give Happy Wednesday fans the opportunity to create a personalised T-shirt, which will be available for order at kiosks around Happy Valley Racecourse.  For just $160 a pop, there are six teelocker templates to choose from, each with customisable text and colours (Photo 1).

Special programmes at adrenaline

As part of the Music Hits The Valley parties, adrenaline has prepared a themed buffet with British and American food through which fans can further explore the rock and roll history of these two pop music breeding grounds.  Hong Kong-based jazz singer, recording artist and Hong Kong Philharmonic collaborator Jennifer Palor will perform at adrenaline this Wednesday.

Racegoers can also join music-themed games at adrenaline and The Gallery to earn a chance of winning fabulous prizes.

Fans can stay tuned to the latest updates on promotional offers at adrenaline, The Gallery and Stable Bend Terrace by logging in to the Happy Wednesday Facebook page. For bookings, please call 3690 3690.

Please refer to on-site notices for detailed game rules and terms and conditions.  All racegoers must be aged 18 or above. For enquiries, please call HKJC’s Customer Service Hotline 1817 or visit www.hkjc.com.
