This year's BMW Hong Kong Derby (photo 1) will be held on Sunday 15 March at Sha Tin Racecourse. And as a warm up to the day, racing fans will be able to take up challenge in the Derby Phone-in Quiz and win cash prizes worth a total of HK$500,000. Setting the questions will be renowned action star, Donnie Yen.
The Derby Phone-in Quiz will be held during the four race meetings of 1, 4, 8 and 11 March. Derby Ambassador Donnie Yen will ask one Derby related question each raceday. Racing fans who phone the correct answer to the Derby Quiz hotline at 1836 222 will have the chance to win a HK$100 cash voucher. Over the four racedays 5,000 cash prizes worth a total of HK$500,000 will be given out.
The questions for the Derby Phone-in Quiz will be broadcast after Race 5 during Sha Tin day meetings (1 and 8 March), and after Race 3 during Happy Valley night meetings (4 and 11 March), via www.hkjc.com, Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses or “Channel JC” at all Off-course Betting Branches, and also on the live racing programmes on ATV Home, World or HD channels, www.hkatv.com, Cable TV channel 18, 203, NOW TV NOW668 Channel, Commercial Radio, DBC Radio, ON.CC, Next Mobile, TVB window & UTV.
Each participant will be eligible for one prize only over the whole phone-in quiz period. Winners must collect their prizes in person at Sha Tin Racecourse at a designated time on 15 March.
