G1 - 1400m – Turf

1

Pride Of Dubai

Impressive, strong finishing winner of the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 28 February. Won despite striking interference in the straight. Sound effort when 2nd in 28 March barrier trial. 1400m should suit. Hard to beat.

2

Mishani Honcho

Beaten 5.6 lengths when 4th of 5 behind Golden Slipper winner Vancouver in the G2 Todman Stakes (1200m) on 7 March. Step to 1400m likely to be an advantage but has to improve.

3

Ready For Victory

Impressive debut winner Flemington 1000m (straight course) on 7 March. Graduated straight to G1 Golden Slipper (1200m), on 21 March, at second start and was very good 1.8 lengths 4th to Vancouver despite wanting to hang out on turn and in home straight. Still improving.

4

Odyssey Moon

Settled back from wide draw in G1 Golden Slipper (1200m) and wasn't disgraced with 2.2 lengths 8th to Vancouver with Ryan Moore aboard. Damien Oliver takes over here. OK all conditions but has shown liking for soft ground.

5

Tarquin

Godolphin runner unbeaten in two starts and has in-form jockey's premiership leader James McDonald aboard. Raced handy in 0.8 lengths win over Rageese, on soft ground, in G2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on 14 March.

6

Rageese

Sound improvement at second start when ran on from last at the 800m to finish 0.8 lengths 2nd to Tarquin in the G2 Pago Pago Stakes on 14 March. Since placed in Rosehill barrier trial on 30 March.

7

English

First of the five fillies contesting this race. Won at her first two starts before closing 0.8 lengths 2nd to stablemate Vancouver in the G1 Golden Slipper on 21 March.

8

Pasadena Girl

Won both her starts at 1100m and 1200m down the straight course at Flemington in Melbourne. Latest was head win from Air Apparent in a 1200m G3 on 14 March. This is first run right-handed. This race is stronger than two she's won but often unwise to dismiss winning form.

9

Always Allison

Won at first two starts before 3.1 lengths 7th to Speak Fondly and Perignon in the G2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) on 14 March. Settled well back last time and run was OK. Magic Joao Moreira takes over here.

10

Perignon

Zac Purton picks up the ride on this honest filly who ran on strongly when nose 2nd to Speak Fondly in the G2 Magic Night Stakes on 14 March.

11

Queen Of Wands

Showed no pace from inside gate but closed late when 3.45 lengths 5th to Jameka in G2 VRC Sires (1400m) at Flemington on 14 March. Greater strength to this race but will run out the distance.
