Simulcast and betting arrangements for Derby Stakes Day and Yasuda Kinen - Updated

HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast seven races of the Derby Stakes Day from Epsom Downs Racecourse, UK from the late evening of Saturday (6 June), as well as the Yasuda Kinen from Tokyo Racecourse, Japan as part of the Sha Tin day meeting on Sunday (7 June). Bets will be accepted* on these races.

Races of the Derby Stakes Day and Yasuda Kinen will be differentiated by the prefixes S1 and S2. Details of the post times and betting pools are:

  • Rebates are not available on bets placed on overseas races
  • A Double Trio jackpot amounted $423,632 generated from the simulcast race meeting on 17 May 2015 will roll over to the Double Trio pool of Derby Stakes Day simulcast meeting.
  • If there is no winner for the Double Trio of the Derby Stakes Day simulcast meeting, the jackpot generated will be carried forward to the Double Trio pool of King's Stand Stakes Day on 16 June 2015.

Broadcast arrangements
The overseas races will be broadcast on TV and radio, as well as at Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs).  Customers can review the overseas races at www.hkjcracing.com one hour after the running of each race.

'S1' or ‘S2’ must be indicated for overseas race bets
Customers betting with cash or through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the S1 or S2 box (Photo 1) and race number of the overseas race on the ticket or as required by the Interactive Services interfaces. Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operator. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input 'overseas race' and the race number respectively.

If ‘S1’, ‘S2’ or ‘overseas race’ is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

Odds and starter information for overseas races
The odds and starter information for the overseas races will be available at all OCBBs, Interactive Services, and the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.

Selling hours for overseas races
Ticket sales for the Derby Stakes Day will be available from 12:00 noon today (Friday 5 June). Bets for Yasuda Kinen will be accepted from 12:00 noon on Saturday (6 June). Selling hours# are:
