The John Moore-trained Able Friend, the world’s current joint highest rated horse, departed for England early this morning (Saturday, 6 June) ahead of his run in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot meeting on Tuesday, 16 June. As the curtain raiser to the UK’s flat racing’s greatest festival, the Queen Anne Stakes is a Group 1, one mile race for four-year-olds and older horses that has always attracted class acts. This year’s the race could feature a showdown between Able Friend and Dubai Turf’s victor Solow for the straight mile contest.
