The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting six races from the opening day of the Royal Ascot Meeting on Tuesday, 16 June (1st race 9:30pm).
The wait is finally over and Royal Ascot week kicks off with the eagerly anticipated Queen Anne Stakes (G1 1600m 4yo+). The stage is now set for a mouthwatering showdown between three superstar milers in Hong Kong’s ABLE FRIEND, French ace SOLOW and the British Classic winning NIGHT OF THUNDER.
The other highlights on the first of five days of racing at Ascot are the King’s Stand Stakes (G1 1000m 3yo+, 5th leg of the Global Sprint Challenge) and the St James’s Palace Stakes (G1 1600m 3yo colts) where British-Irish 2000 Guineas winner GLENEAGLES is set to clash with his French counterpart MAKE BELIEVE.
The simulcast card will close out with the UK’s first big two-year-old test of the season, the Coventry Stakes (G2 1200m), the Ascot Stakes (4000m 4yo+ 0-95 Handicap) and the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes (1000m 2yo).
Final declarations with barrier draws for the races on King's Stand Stakes Day will be published at www.hkjc.com in the late evening of Sunday 14 June.
