Join in great fun at Jockey Club Pre-Seasonal Carnival for the entire family

Sha Tin Racecourse will be buzzing with excitement again this summer, as the Club’s annual Pre-Season Carnival will be held on Saturday 29 August (Photo 1). Tickets will be available for sale from 17 August onwards.
New initiatives this year will include the largest galloping racehorse model in Hong Kong with jockeys figures display at Sha Tin Racecourse. Moreover, the workshop and photo corner themed on adorable character from local designer Lam Pei and workshop of DIY 3D pony keychains are surely not to be missed. There will also be an array of entertainment, such as huge inflatables, must-visit game booths, parent-child workshops and themed photo corners, all promising young guests and their families a fun-packed day with some valuable learning experiences (Photo 2, 3, 4).
Among the interactive games and workshops on offer will be:

• M4 Club Carnival��Kids can play in the exclusive largest galloping racehorse display in Sha Tin Racecourse (Photo 5, 6)
Lam Pei x Sofye Paper Mache Workshop– A local artist Lam Pei will guide the participants to make their unique Chinese traditional handicraft and two giant characters named as ‘Flying Sofye’ will be showcased (Photo 7, 8).
• 3Doodler x HotCraftHobby Art Workshop��This workshop allows children to draw in the air and lift their imagination off the paper and make their own pony keychains. Attractive hand-crafted 3D figures will be presented in the Carnival. All figures are created by the first 3D artist in Asia, Carl Eng (Photo 9, 10). 
Hong Chi Glass Up-cycle Workshop– With the collaboration with Hong Chi Association, children can join the workshop to make the special pieces of eco-friendly glass bottles back home with joy.
• My Little Chef��An experienced Club chef will teach children how to make racing colors and horse shaped cookies to share with their families (Photo 11). 
World-class Clowning��With the colored wigs, vivid make-up and outlandish costumes, Champions of the World Clown Competition Clown La La and Clown Sound Sound, and Champion of Hong Kong Clown Festival Clown Wing Wing will showcase their skills to delight kids and adults alike (Photo 12). My Little Pony 3D Magic Coloring – Children can take photos with the Giant Little Pony mascot and DIY Little Pony by joining the workshop (Photo 13).

Other highlights for horse lovers will include:

• Shetland Pony Ride and Care Area – A unique opportunity to learn how to care for pets by patting and  riding these adorable ponies (Photo 14).
• Jockeys’ Sprint – The annual Jockey’s Sprint will feature the unforgettable sight of jockeys racing barefoot on the turf (Photo 15).
• Grass Trial – A fully-fledged pre-season grass trial will offer visitors a sneak preview of the new season’s opening day on 6 September (Photo 16)

The Pre-Season Carnival is open to the public of all ages. Ticket combos will go on sale from Monday 17 August at 40 designated Off-Course Betting Branches, while stock lasts. Each ticket combo costs HK$60 and includes an admission coupon (HK$10), a food and beverage coupon (HK$10) and four game coupons (HK$40). There is no admission charge for children aged three or below. 
Participants can access to Sha Tin Racecourse on foot from Exit C, Fo Tan Station (8 minutes). Complimentary shuttle buses will run between Sha Tin MTR Station and the Racecourse at 15-minute intervals between 10:30 am and 8:30 pm. The boarding point at the station is next to Pai Tau Village Leisure and Culture Services Headquarters.
