1. Renovation works - Happy Valley and Sha Tin turf track
The verti-drain and the corer were used on the Happy Valley turf track and the Sha Tin turf track according to the following schedules to prepare for winter grass seeding commencing on Tuesday 27 October at Sha Tin and Monday 2 November for the Happy Valley turf track respectively:
Happy Valley
8 - 15 Oct 2015 A to C Course (Worked Back Position)
23 - 24 Oct 2015 C+3 Course (Worked Back Position) and the remaining area
Sha Tin
26 - 27 October 2015 for the full width of the turf track
On completion of the works, both tracks were lightly rolled as per previous practice.
2. Ripping of large all weather track
The large all weather track was ripped today to a depth of 5 1/2" to relieve surface hardness.
