The eleventh edition of Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day (photo 1) will be staged on Sunday, 8 November at Sha Tin Racecourse. This year, Sa Sa and HKJC have invited famous Asian actress Ning Chang to be the event ambassador. Race goers will receive a collectable souvenir brooch (photo 2) together with a Sa Sa discount coupon as door gifts upon entering the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses (until the start of Race 6 or while stocks last).

“There is no doubt that the Sa Sa Ladies Purse Day is rich in heritage. Today, it is one of the biggest race days in Hong Kong,” said Mr. William A. Nader, the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Executive Director of Racing. “Last year, we welcomed over 74,000 fans to Sha Tin, making Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day not just one of the most popular days at the racecourse, but truly one of the biggest annual events in town.  This year’s meeting always brings us such great fashion and we look forward to another year of great success.”

“Thanks to the support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day has become a grand annual occasion, not only for women, but for everyone,” said Dr. Simon Kwok Siu Ming, Chairman and CEO of Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd. “Not only is the event supported by the local community, but our friends from overseas travel all the way to Hong Kong to participate in this celebrated annual event.”

“Every year, we work extremely hard to internationalize the event and bring greater fashion, creativity and surprises to our friends and supporters,” added Dr. Kwok. “Now in our the 11th year of the event, we are proud to have internationally renowned hat designer Piers Atkinson and Britain’s fashion brand TED BAKER as our official fashion partners. We hope by featuring British clothing and fashion at the race course, a whole new element of style will be introduced to our event.”

This year’s elegantly-designed brooch featuring a horse theme in silver colour is chicly embellished with Swarovski crystals and truly demonstrates the stylish and elegant image of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day. To celebrate the 11th anniversary, Sa Sa will collaborate with British fashion brand TED BAKER and bring world renowned hat designer, Piers Atkinson, and well-known local fashion designer, Chailie Ho, to create a spectacular fashion show under the theme of “Horse in Style”. Top models will grace the catwalk to demonstrate stylish fashion in the Parade Ring on raceday.

A series of themed merchandise, including watches, scarves, handbags, wallets, umbrellas and USB keychains to show how a beautiful lady can dress well to attend a race meeting, are also available on 8 November.

Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on 8 November 2015. The highly anticipated Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Handicap, a HKG3 race over 1800m, will be staged as the feature race, with total prize money of HK$3 million. Eleven races are programmed for the day, with the first starting at 12:30pm.  Sha Tin Racecourse will open at 10:30 am.
