Then disadvantaged by track bias when 3 lengths 3rd to Turn Me Loose in G2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on 24 October. Head second to Hucklebuck in this race last year.

Peter Chapple-Hyam trained visitor who ran 13.8 lengths 11th to Winx in G1 Cox Plate (2040m) on 24 October at Australian debut. Gailo Chop, who was beaten 12.5 lengths in the Cox Plate, then came out and won G1 Mackinnon Stakes last Saturday.

Turn Me Loose

Strong front-running performance to win the Listed Seymour Cup (1600m) by 3.2 lengths from Scream Machine on 18 October. Then backed up six days later to again lead throughout in half length win from Bow Creek in G2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley. Obviously in great form.

Bow Creek

UK import who turned in outstanding performance at Australian debut when half length 2nd to Turn Me Loose in G2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on 24 October. Returned race quickest closing sectionals. Doesn’t have to have improved much off that.

Disposition

Racing well with two wins, two seconds from only four starts for this stable. Ran 1.2 lengths 2nd to Lucky Hussler in G1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) on 10 October before strong finishing head win from San Diego in G3 Guvera Stakes (1400m) last Saturday.

Magic Artist

Andreas Wohler trained visitor who ran 1 lengths 4th to Gailo Chop in the G1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) here last Saturday and probably would have won with a clearer run in the last 100 metres.

Ecuador

Runner-up to Winx, beaten 2.3 lengths, in the G1 Epsom Handicap at this distance on 3 October before solid 1.85 lengths 6th to Gailo Chop in G1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) last Saturday. Has excellent record at 1600m.

Messene

Sound effort when 2.5 lengths 4th to Winx in the G1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) on 3 October before 6 lengths 8th to Disposition in the G3 Guvera Stakes (1400m) last Saturday. Track was soft early last Saturday and he’s better on drier ground.

Moriarty

G1 winner of the Kingston Town Classic at 1800m in December 2014. Placed only one of nine starts since then but latest effort encouraging when 3.7 lengths 4th to Complacent in the G3 Craven Plate (2000m) at Randwick on 3 October. Scratched from Flemington on Tuesday.

Amovatio

Twice a winner at 1400m and 1600m this track in June and July. Then had break and returned with excellent 1400m Listed race win at Caulfield on 10 October before 6.1 lengths 7th to Turn Me Loose in G2 Crystal Mile on 24 October when never in best part of track.

Politeness

Quality mare who is unbeaten in three runs this season. Won twice at 1200m before jumping straight to this distance and defying the track bias to win the G1 Myer Classic (1600m for Mares) at this track last Saturday.

Sons Of John

Runner-up to Winx at 1300m in September and third again to Winx in the G1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) on 3 October before 6.2 lengths 8th to Turn Me Loose in G2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on 24 October. Didn’t have much luck last time and can improve.

May’s Dream

Sound effort last Saturday when 1.45 lengths 4th to Politeness in the G1 Myer Classic (1600m). That followed G2 2nd to Fenway and generally consistent in this distance range.

Rock Sturdy

Ran 0.8 lengths 2nd to Frespanol in Filante Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 24 October after 3.75 lengths 5th to Vashka in G3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 17 October.

Coronation Shallan

Up in class but racing in career best form. Beaten 2 lengths when 3rd to Vashka in G3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) before leading throughout to win G3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley by a nose from Azkadellia.

Scratched from this track on Tuesday. Racing well. Finished 2.5 lengths 4th to Kenjorwood and Jacquinot Bay in Caulfield 1700m Handicap before 1.75 lengths win from Sir Berus in Caulfield 1600m BM 90 on 14 October. Lightweight chance.
