Scored nose win from Rugged Cross in Caulfield 1400m Handicap on 19 September. Then found track too firm and pulled up with EIPH when 4.85 lengths last to Amovatio in Listed Weekend Hussler Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 10 October. Can improve.

Mirage

Resumed from break with sound 2.55 lengths 4th to Fast 'N' Rocking in Caulfield 1200m Listed Village Stakes on 14 October. Good record at 1400m and has won second-up.

Reldas

Scored two fast finishing wins at 955m and 1200m at Moonee Valley in two runs this season. Proven at this longer trip and in great form.

Gracious Prospect

Finished off well at unsuitable 1000m when 2.35 lengths 5th to General Jackson at Cranbourne on 11 October at first run this season. Boasts three wins and five placings from 12 starts this course and distance.

Java

Fitter for two runs this season after 3.85 lengths 8th to Fast 'N' Rocking in Caulfield 1200m Listed Village Stakes on 14 October. Close up in Listed and Group 1 races at past two starts this distance. Expect better.

Chile Express

Has won and run second twice at Flemington during Melbourne Cup week in past three years. Not raced since failing over 1610m at this track in June. His 2013 Cup week win was first-up.

Longeron

Consistent galloper with good record this track and distance. Not raced since July when 4th at Ballarat 1600m. Beaten a nose first-up at this distance in last campaign.

Timeless Prince

Ran OK at second run this season when 3.1 lengths 4th (of five) behind Bold Circle in Randwick 1400m BM 85 on 24 October.

Malaguerra

Backs up quickly from strong on pace win at this course and distance on Tuesday when scored by two lengths from Good Project in fast time. Three wins and a nose second from past four starts.

Ulmann

Settled too far back when 4.55 lengths 8th to Vashka in G3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 17 October. Might want longer trip now but capable of better.

Sadaqa

Caught wide throughout when 13 lengths 13th to Disposition in G3 Guvera Stakes at this course and distance last Saturday. Wide draw again looks a complication.

Flow Meter

Good on pace effort at second run this season when 0.3 lengths 3rd to Dr Dapper in Morphettville Parks 1250m BM 90 on 31 October. This is stronger.

Staviva

Caught wide but disappointing when 6.15 lengths 6th to Berisha in Pakenham 1600m BM 78 on 15 October and this is stronger race.

Up in class but shows promise with three wins from six starts. Led throughout to win Bendigo 1300m BM 70 by a nose from Dan Zephyr on 28 October.

Not raced since May when 4.3 lengths 5th to Delicacy in G1 South Australian Derby at 2500m. Has a win and a second from two previous fresh runs – both around this distance.
