Popular Wines Parties return to the Valley

22/02/2016

A unique blend of fine wines & thrilling races
Starting from the final Wednesday night meeting in February (24 February), fans will again have the chance to enjoy a great time with friends, sharing a few glasses of wine and enjoying some great sporting action together (Photo 1).  On the three consecutive Wednesday nights of 24 February and 2 and 9 March, Happy Valley Racecourse will host its own special wine festival for racegoers, featuring over 60 red, white and sparkling wines from four different regions.

Unbeatable range and value
The wine festival will offer a wide range of choices to cater to different tastes - whether the preference is for the sophistication of renowned French wines, the fruity Italian vintages, more down-to-earth Spanish wines or the aromatic qualities of Australian and New Zealand vineyards, choices will be plentiful at Happy Valley Racecourse – along with lots of exciting action on the track.

Our 60-plus selections of wine will be divided into red, blue, and green categories and offered in 100ml tastings.  By purchasing a wine pass for just HK$130, fans will receive one tasting ticket for each of the three categories, providing amazing value for money.  Wine lovers may purchase their favourite wines by the glass or bottle, too.

Surf, turf and more
On each of the three nights, the trackside menus at Happy Valley Racecourse will include special international dishes prepared to complement the wines, ranging from fresh seafood to hot and spicy satay:

Party with your friends in style
During the special wine festival, Happy Valley Racecourse hotspot adrenaline will be filled with the aroma of fine wines – complemented by perennial favourite, Jennifer Palor and her band, performing hits upon hits.  The stylish venue offers top wining, dining and entertainment, along with stunning views of the racecourse. On each of the three Wines in the Valley nights, a different region will be featured: 24 Feb – France; 2 March – Spain; 9 March - Australia and New Zealand.  The Gallery will set up a wine corner for three weeks in a row, where Wine Ambassadors will introduce to customers fine wine from France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. For the dining offer, Mediterranean semi-buffet, as well as wine-pairing appetizers will be served. For reservations please call 3690-3690 (24-hour hotline).
The opening race of 24 February will start at 6:45 pm.   Nine races have been scheduled for the evening.
