G1 - 1200m – Turf

1

Extreme Choice

Unbeaten in two runs at 1000m, displaying great speed. Led throughout to win G3 Chairman’s Stakes at this track on 6 February and scored by 4.5 lengths in fast time. Tougher here at the 1200m and jockey Damien Oliver opts for stablemate Flying Artie but may be unwise to underestimate.

2

Valliano

Finished strongly from just off speed when excellent 2.5 lengths winner from Curvature in 1200m Inglis Premier at this track on 6 February. Opposition stronger this time but impressed in latest win and proven at the distance.

3

Flying Artie

Impressive winner of 1100m G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) at this track on 13 February. Caught wide throughout from barrier 13 on that occasion but finished well to beat Star Turn by a head with clear margin to rest. Top jockey Damien Oliver chose him over stablemate Extreme Choice.

4

Star Turn

On speed throughout and held on well when head 2nd to Flying Artie in G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) at 1100m this track on 13 February. That was first run since October and open to improvement.

5

Power Trip

Slow to begin and ran home reasonably well when 4.35 lengths 6th to Flying Artie in Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) at 1100m this track on 13 February. Did beat Flying Artie at Flemington 1000m on debut last November.

6

Highland Beat

Ran on well without ever threatening winner when 4.5 lengths 2nd to Extreme Choice in 1000m G3 Chairman’s Stakes at this track on 6 February.

7

Hell Of An Effort

Eased down late in race but vets reported no abnormality after 25 lengths last to Valliano in 1200m Inglis Premier at Caulfield on 6 February. Had won Caulfield 1100m 2YO at previous start on soft ground.

8

Hey Doc

Ran on fairly from off midfield when 3.4 lengths 4th to Valliano in 1200m Inglis Premier at Caulfield on 6 February. Has to improve a notch but the 1200m should suit.

9

China Dream

Started big odds last time but worked home fairly from midfield when 2.45 lengths 3rd to stablemate Flying Artie in G3 Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) at this track on 13 February. No match for first two last time but has ability.

10

Samara Dancer

Talented filly who’s won two from two. Raced on speed in debut win at 1050m in November. Then ridden back and finished strongly in one length win from Concealer in Blue Diamond Prelude (F), 1100m, at Caulfield on 13 February running similar time Flying Artie in colts and geldings Prelude.

11

Concealer

Came from last at the 400m (in field of 13) when one length 2nd to Samara Dancer in G2 Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at 1100m at this track on 13 February. Also finished strongly when debut winner at Flemington 1000m in November. The 1200m should suit.

12

Sweet Sherry

Worked home OK when 3.2 lengths 6th to Samara Dancer in G2 Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at 1100m at this track on 13 February. Not without some chance.

13

Kinetic Design

Blocked for a clear run from the 500m to the 100m when 6.5 lengths 11th to Samara Dancer in Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at 1100m at this track on 13 February. Could surprise.

14

Zamzam

Blocked for clear run on home turn when 3.8 lengths 9th to Samara Dancer in Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at 1100m at this track on 13 February. Had won Moonee Valley 1000m 2YO on debut.

15

Miss Nymeria

Improved from near last on settling to run 1.7 lengths 3rd to Samara Dancer in G2 Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at Caulfield 1100m on 13 February. Capable of further improvement.

16

Areti

Raced handy and surged clear late in excellent debut win by 1.75 lengths from Brittany in Moonee Valley 1000m 2YO on 5 February. Untapped.

Reserves

17

Selenia

Fared best of the on-pace runners when 2.15 lengths 4th to Samara Dancer in Blue Diamond Prelude (F) at Caulfield on 13 February. Shown good pace both runs but probably has to have improved to win here.

18

Seaburge

Raced handy to speed and was strong late when 0.75 lengths winner from Curvature in Pakenham 1200m 2YO on 21 January. That was on debut and Curvature then ran second to Valliano at Caulfield.

19

Revolving Door

Very good debut performance when ran on late for 3.95 lengths 4th to Flying Artie in Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) at Caulfield on 13 February. Better for the experience of first run.
