Takedown

Strong on pace effort when 0.3 lengths 2nd to Redzel in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on 5 March. That was first run since October. Has won at 1200m and won second-up.

Counterattack

Placed in 1200m 3YO�@G1 last October and returned to racing with sound 2.8 lengths 3rd to Spill The Beans in G 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on 6 February. Capable all going.

Santa Ana Lane

Impressive at first run since October when closing nose win from Brockhoff in G3 Zeditave Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 27 February. Drawn outside barrier but unbeaten in three runs up to this distance and capable all conditions.

Puritan

Strong finisher who resumed from break with closing nose win from Golden Spin in G3 Manfred Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 6 February. Then conceded too great a start when 1.9 lengths 5th to Santa Ana Lane in G3 Zeditave Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on 27 February.

Speak Fondly

Can forgive first-up run when 4.2 lengths 9th to English in the G2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on 5 March when had little galloping room. G1 winner at 1600m last year and has won three of five at this distance. Handles wet and dry.

Look To The Stars

Not raced since September but had two recent barriers trials, including trial second on 4 March, and was G2 winner at 1350m in previous campaign. Zac Purton takes the ride.

Ottoman

Fair effort when resuming with 2.7 lengths 7th to English in the G2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) at Randwick on 5 March. Most recent win was 1200m in G3 race on heavy ground.

Flippant

Not raced since January when 4th to Mahuta in the Magic Millions Guineas (1400m) at the Gold Coast. Did win barrier trial on 29 February. Won four of six starts on good ground and two of four at this distance.

Serene Majesty

Even effort when 5.4 lengths 7th to Redzel in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on 5 March. That was first run since October when photo 3rd to Lake Geneva in Listed 1200m Crockett Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Wolf Cry

Easy winner of 1200m Magic Millions Maiden at this distance on 9 January. Then failed on soft ground before 4.2 lengths 5th to Press Statement in G2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill on 20 February. Back to 1200m suits.

Strindberg

Strong winner of Rosehill 1100m 3YO on 20 February, scoring by a neck from Redzel. Then failed behind the same horse when 5.5 lengths 8th in the Fireball Stakes on 5 March. Vet found no abnormality last time. Two wins have come at 1100m.

Southern Legend

Won both starts this year, leading throughout. First was Warwick Farm 1100m Maiden on 10 February and second was Rosehill 1200m 3YO, winning by 2.8 lengths from Tremor, on 24 February. They’re only two starts on good tracks. Unplaced but not disgraced two starts on wet tracks last year.

Kimberley Star

Began awkwardly, ran on late when 4 lengths 4th to Redzel in Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on 5 March. Placed in three races at G2 and G3 level from 1200m to 1400m last spring. Handles soft ground.

Egyptian Symbol

Settled too far back but closed well when 3.6 lengths 3rd to Redzel in Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on 5 March. Good record at 1200m and won on good and soft ground.

Denpurr

Not raced since November when placed in Listed race at 1400m at Flemington, behind Don’t Doubt Mamma. Has two wins and a second from three previous 1st-up runs.

Denmagic

Won Canterbury 1550m 3YO on soft ground in January before 0.3 lengths 3rd to River Wild in Rosehill 1400m 3YO on 30 January. Back to 1200m no issue as she’s fresh.

Regatta Rebel

Lightly raced and promising filly who was G3 placed early in 2015. Resumed from long spell on 7 March with easy all the way win in Kembla Grange 1000m Maiden.

In Her Time

Have to improve sharply on latest effort when 6 lengths 9th to Redzel in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on 5 March.
