No match for Press Statement when 2.3 lengths 2nd in the Hobartville Stakes on 20 February. However, then had the better run in transit when head winner from Press Statement in the G1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on 5 March. On trial at distance but in great form.

Over-raced early but still finished off well when 3.25 lengths 6th to Palentino in G1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at Flemington on 5 March at second run this year. Won three straight last time in, culminating with G 1 win in the Spring Champion Stakes at this distance.
