Michele Reis appointed as Audemars Piguet QEII Cup Ambassador

The Audemars Piguet QEII Cup (photo 1), one of Hong Kong’s major sporting events since the celebrated watchmaker took over sponsorship in 1999, will be run on Sunday 24 April at Sha Tin Racecourse.  This International Group 1 event is the ninth-highest rated race in the world, and with total prize money of HK$20 million the elite feature has captured the attention of renowned trainers and owners all around the globe.

To mark the occasion, the Club has invited celebrity owner Michele Reis (photo 2) to be this year’s Audemars Piguet QEII Cup Ambassador.  She will join the big day on 24 April at Sha Tin Racecourse to witness the emergence of this year’s Audemars Piguet QEII Cup winner and present a souvenir to the winning connections.

Two limited-edition Audemars Piguet QEII Cup apparel items, a Vest ($280) (photo 3) and a Polo T-shirt ($180) (photo 4), will be on sale at the souvenir shops, “Gift at Races” and Members’ Enclosure Sales Counter, to commemorate the event.

Lead up on-line game for racing fans
Starting from 7 April, racing fans entering the Audemars Piguet QEII Cup lead-up online game (photo 5) will have the chance to win an exclusive clutch purse. Participants are required to unlock the padlock within a time limit. The first 4,500 participants to complete this challenge and submit their information successfully will win the prize.  Winners must collect their prizes in person at Sha Tin Racecourse on 24 April at the designated time.
