He’s always prone to throwing in the odd bad run but it never bothers me because he’s so tough and he’s full of class, he always comes back. I feel he’s in great form; his last trial, after what was probably a below-par run at a shorter distance, was very pleasing, he closed off very strongly on the bridle. He didn’t really need to do any more than that, just stretch his legs, because he’s already quite fit, he’s primed to go for the big day and I’m confident – his prep has gone well, he looks great and he’s last season’s winner.”

Ryo Terashima, assistant trainer to Yasutoshi Ikee, commented, “He looks happy with the new surroundings and had no issue with the journey here, either. He is a very smart horse and very adaptable. The wet weather seems to be good for the legs, working on the track. He is training well so far.”
