Le French May will bring its annual dose of French ambience to Happy Wednesday (photo 1) on the evenings of May 4, 11 and 18 with racing action and world-class performances. The authentically Parisian party vibe will include exquisite French wines and cuisines. With thrilling feature races including the France Galop Cup and the Le French May Trophy on May 11, plus the Sauternes Cup on May 18, it all adds up to an ooh-la-la fusion of French culture and party fun.
Fabulous stage performances by acclaimed artistes
Be sure to see and hear the internationally acclaimed groups, travelling in from far and wide to perform at Hong Kong’s French May Art Festival; showcasing the French savoir-faire in music, acrobatics and dance at Happy Valley Racecourse.
4 May - French Fun Brass & Cirque Eloize Dancer
A stage full of musicians and acrobats will set the night alight with their daring, split-second synchronization of original brass music and daring juggling and tricycle and cyr wheel feats.
11 May - Electrogène Fanfare Club
The traditions of south-western France are amongst the most colourful in all Europe. The Electrogène Fanfare Club will give all the spirit and energy of music played during the legendary parties in the south of France and Spain.
18 May - Hip-Hop Revolution
Backed by infectious electronic beats and mashing up truly eye-popping hip hop, breakdance and clubbing steps, Hip Hop Revolution’s dancers are another Le French May must-see.

On May 4 and 11, wine lovers can treat themselves generously by purchasing a special wine pass at $150 and savour a 100ml serving from each of the red, green, and blue categories of French wine.

Racegoers can have their face or body painted in tricolor-style red, white or blue at the Make Up For Ever’s on-track counter and try a few French accessories such as bowties and berets. Take a selfie using the designated user-friendly app and then upload it to Instagram adding the location Happy Valley Racecourse and #HappyWednesday (photo14). The best photo from each of the French nights will be awarded a $1,000 cash voucher.
Le French May offerings at adrenaline and The Gallery
- Sublime French signature dishes will be available on adrenaline’s buffet menu and each customer will receive a complimentary Ladurée macaroon gift box. Jennifer Palor and band will be performing between races.
