As previously notified, a pre-race urine sample taken from MIDNIGHT RATTLER, trained by Mr J Moore and which was to run at the stated racemeeting, was found to contain the prohibited substance phenylbutazone and its metabolite oxyphenbutazone. Dr T S M Wan, the Club’s Head of Racing Laboratory, has provided a Test Report to the Racing Stewards advising that a further urine sample subsequently taken from MIDNIGHT RATTLER under post-race conditions has confirmed the presence of phenylbutazone and its metabolite oxyphenbutazone.
Mr Moore has been advised of the analyst's finding.
The matter remains adjourned to a date to be fixed.
